Tie 201

Grandma went to Africa and this is what she got me. It's so cool, it's made out of beads.

Tie 200

So this is the last and final tie. Tie number 200. I would have never thought I'd get to 200. My long term goal was to get to 100, but I guess sometimes God had bigger plans than you ever expected for yourself. I don't know what to do with my ties. I think I shall continue to take a break from actively wearing ties but I'll still keep them. I think in a year or so I'll whip them out, hopefully by then I'll have a full-time job where I'll be free to wear them. In current events, I'm doing an internship and on my first day there a female student faints. Oh and I may need reading glass. Thanks for traveling with me for all these ties. Much love, K

Tie 199

How amazing it is to finally get my last two ties. I received two ties today from a student. I did not ask the student to bring me any ties but told him of how I love to collect them. It feels somewhat strange not being able to wear them daily but one day I shall. When I have a full time job where I can teach and not worry about making a good impression. However, I am very grateful to this student. I shall always remember him. These ties are very bright and so wonderful and feel of personality, just like him. I hope this is a sign that the rest of my time at this school will be bright and vibrant. I just hope I do well here. I suffer from being not as professional as I should. I'm too close to the students. I love being friendly and showing them that I care about them. How can I be an effective tutor and still be professional but not get too personal with my students. It's hard to not notice a sad face or someone not being themselves. It's even harder to reject a face that smiles just a little bit bigger when they see your face. However, I think I'm getting the hang of it. I'll stick to helping them with their papers and when time allows I shall then ask them how things are going in their lives. I do want them all to succeed and I guess being professional is one way in doing that. Hope you all find that special someone who makes you smile just a little bit more. Much love, K

Tie 198

Today is actually Friday but yea, here is the last tie that I have. I'm not really excited to go to work but I'm happy to be going to bible study later today. So we'll see how everything goes. May the Lord bless and keep all of you. Let your wonderful light shine. Listening to: Hello, My Name Is. by Matthew West. Check it out. Much love, K

Tie 197

So today I wore this tie to work. I really really like it. It's kinda long but held up very nicely with what I was wearing today. My day went fairly well. There was just too many things going on towards the end of my day and then I got sad because I'm not too happy with my door man at the moment. Thought we were friends but apparently I thought wrong. I guess I should just continue to just go about my day and not talk to them. I don't want to seem like a nuisance or bossy or in any one's way. Class was okay but I always feel like I talk way too much. Luckily there is only two classes left. I guess I should work on that final project and find out what I want to present on. Until then, stay blessed, de-stress and sing. Much love, K

Guess what?

I got two new ties today. Last week I started a new job at BCC. And since it's a new job, I like to wear ties and bake things so people can get a sense of who I am. So last week I wore a tie and told a co-worker that I had 196 well now I have 198. I'm almost up to 200. I can hardly believe that I had twenty five as a freshman in college and now five years later I have almost eight times as much. I'll wear one tie tomorrow and the other probably on Thursday. Okies, back to work. I'm so procrastinating. Much love, K

Tie 196

This is the lovely tie my boyfriend gave me for Christmas. I know it's a little late but I have been a little busy. I haven't had another chance to wear it but I will, once everything settles down and I get on a consistent schedule. Having two jobs and school and teaching Sunday school and singing on a choir keeps a girl pretty busy so some things get pushed back like wearing ties, doing laundry, getting my hair done. But thank goodness I have some time for them now. School starts back up in a week so pray this last semester goes well before my internships because then I'd have to put everything I learned into effect. And if you're not too busy check out my poetry corner. Much love, K
